Every year, the festival is held during Labor Day weekend – Friday through Monday. Friday hours: 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm + Saturday & Sunday Hours: 11:30am to 10:30 pm + Monday Hours: 11:30am to 9:30 pm. There is a Holy Mass held in the theater on Sunday at 11am.
Yes. The festival grounds, along with the Copernicus Center are wheelchair accessible. Handicap restroom stalls are located indoors in the Annex and the Lobby. The Shuttle Bus from the Irish Center parking is a kneeling bus. There is no handicap parking available at the Copernicus Center for Taste of Polonia.
Only service dogs are allowed. The festival grounds are too crowded, and we have no available areas for “puppy relief.”
Food vendors are cashless and will only accept card payments. Merchandise vendors set their own payment methods, so accepted payment methods will vary booth to booth.
Free Parking with a Shuttle Bus is available at the Irish American Heritage Center at 4626 N. Knox Ave. The shuttle stop at the festival is at the corner of N. Avondale and W. Lawrence Ave. Click here to see all parking options and directions.
Yes, and we highly encourage it! We are a short walk from Jefferson Park Terminal on the Blue Line. The Lawrence Ave 81 bus stops in front of the Copernicus Center. Links to ALL public transportation options can be found here or at the footer of this page below. Please note a new PACE route has been added on Milwaukee Ave.
Yes. Kids 12 years and under are free. Please note that the outdoor Carnival areas require the purchase of a wristband for participation.
Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own chair. We will have a limited number of chairs available on a first-come, first-served basis, but with large crowds you may have trouble finding one.
All bands and scheduled activities inside the Theater, Lobby, and Annex will continue rain or shine. Outdoor activities will be determined based on conditions at the time. Please follow us on Facebook for inclement weather updates.
We all know that “life” and “weather” happen. Should any changes in the schedule occur, we will post them on our Facebook Page.
In addition to water, soft drinks, and ready-to-drink cocktails at the beer tents, a Full Bar located in the Lobby of the Copernicus Center is available for you to enjoy.

Prices for menu items are set by the individual food vendors. Most vendors have links to their websites on the Menu Page. Please note that our food vendors are all cashless and only accept card payments.
